An elderly woman thinks she may have found new love with a (much) younger man in this drama. Bozhana (Ilka Safirova) is an aging retired opera singer who now watches over a dog kennel in what was once a popular resort community along the Bulgarian coast. With her friend and former co-star Philip (Nikolaj Binev), Bozhana spends her days thinking about the glory days of her past and anticipating the particulars of her death (a soothsayer has determined the day Bozhana will die, but can’t tell which year). The beach near the kennel attracts a steady flow of young bohemians who camp out and enjoy the sea air, and one day Bozhana spies one such visitor, a 20-year-old boy named Victor (Petar Antonov). Bozhana soon becomes quite attracted to Victor and she tries to win his attentions, as Philip tries to warn her against her geriatric infatuations. But the prospect of an imminent solar eclipse has all parties preoccupied, especially Victor and his friends.
