While walking through the streets of Tokyo, Linn Suzuki comes across a strange device sticking up from the sidewalk. Suddenly, she is set upon by thugs and is helped by a beautiful stranger who takes them all down. It seems young Linn has fled Deep Kyoto from her cruel mistress and has traveled to Edo where she hopes to find her long lost brother, who was last seen working for the Kuon Detective Agency. By chance, this stranger happens to be Miho Kuon and lets Linn stay with her (nicknaming her Kotetsu, or Little Tetsu after her brother, Tetsujin). However, a mysterious agency called the Syndicate are after Miho and Linn is now in the thick of things.

Natsumi Rokudou, a spunky 10 year old girl from Japan receives a strange statue from her dad who’s an archaeologist. In a dream, a strange old man named Ahem warns Natsumi of Ongo’s return, and gives her a necklace and tells her to do a sexually suggestive dance that will protect her from peril. Once Natsumi awakens, she finds Ongo on her bed…who’s not too threatening looking. But now whenever danger rears it’s ugly head, Natsumi must swallow her modesty, and do the embarrassing dance to transform into Mii, the large breasted flower spirit of New Guinea’s past.

“Tachiguishi”, that is to say, grifters who make it their profession to “eat-and-run”, was created by the world-famous filmmaker, Mamoru Oshii. In 2006, he directed “Tachigui — the Amazing Lives of the Fast Food Grifters”, a feature film which was made using a new technique called superlive-mation. It combined fact and fiction to tell daring stories of professional grifters, leaving viewers with a feeling of nostalgia for the Showa era. Following that, another movie has been completed. This new live-action film, “Eat and Run – 6 Beautiful Grifters” was made with the objective of filming its main actresses as beautifully as possible. The film is made up of six episodes directed by six different directors who rose to the challenge, two of whom are Oshii himself.
