Katrin and Jürgen spend their holidays in Corsica. Katrin is in her mid-thirties, working as a tracer at Jürgens company who suddenly remembers hes married but not with Kathrin. So they decide to end their vacation earlier than they had planned. Virtually a second before they start to drive back to the airport, Katrin takes her belongings out of Jürgens car again and lets him go. Now being alone for the remaining days of her vacation, Katrin finds herself more and more bewildered by the things that happened to her.

After five years in prison, Ellen is out and ready to come to terms with her past. She begins by looking for Katrin, who was present the night of the crime. Hearing Katrins voice on the radio and learning that she is a DJ at a local nightclub, Ellen decides to go and wait for her at the door. At first, Katrin is frightened and does not want anything to do with Ellen. However Ellen persists. Flashbacks fill in the history of Katrins relationship with an abusive husband and her intimate relationship with Ellen. It soon becomes clear that Ellens devotion for Katrin is no less potent than before. Gradually Katrin yields to Ellens wishes. Before long, past events catch up with them an unexpected sting in the tail reveals a major twist.
