Lo Lieh play an ambitious martial artist who wishes to be number one in the martial world. Unfortunately, while he’s tough, he’s no match for the son of the number one martial artist. Unwilling to wait for the next tournament, he connives to steal the legendary Magic Steel Sword from his bride to be who with her sisters is protecting the sword from unscrupulous martial artists. He easily steals the sword which is half super steel and half super magnet.This way he’s able to disarm all his opponents by pulling their iron weapons right out of their hands from across the room. The three sisters team up with the son and try to take back the sword.

On the 7th month of the lunar calendar, all ghosts and spirits are active and get to walk the earth for the month so that they can find a way to reincarnate. During one of these nights, a young kid named Chun Sing (Billy Chong), is visited by his dead Father. Chun Sing’s father states that he was murdered by a man named Kam Tai Fu (Lo Lieh). And as you may have guessed, Chun Sing must avenge his father’s death. It won’t be easy though because Kam Tai Fu has some help in the form of a Black Magician (Ta Hsi Yen) and his evil gung fu.

Ending up facing Hsia (Eddie Ko) of the notorious Jade Brotherhood is inevitable. As a result, Hsia forces Chi’s martial arts master to expel him. Masterless and working for a fish vendor, Chi meets a crafty kid (Yat Lung Wong), whose uncle Chow Tung (Chin Yuet Sang) is a master of the Insane Mantis style. The Jade Brotherhood aims for control of the small town but Chi is training with a new Master and will not accept bullies in the neighbourhood.
